How to get to here
By ferry there are three ports of arrival and departure on the island ~Fulford Harbour, connects to Swartz Bay (a short drive from Sidney and Victoria) ~Vesuvius, connects to Crofton (a shortdrive from Duncan and Nanaimo) ~Long Harbour, connects to Tsawwassen (a short drive from Vancouver) and to three of the other Gulf Islands (Pender, Galiano, Mayne) For specific ferry information visit bcferries

What to do on Salt Spring
A whole range of amenities and recreational opportunities can be found on Salt Spring Island. For an active vacation enjoy one of the two golf courses, kayak round the small islands, bike the back roads, hike one of the many trails for wonderful views, swim in one of the warm water lakes, or in the sea. For a more leisurely time shop in the village of Ganges, visiting one of the many art galleries and boutiques. Visit the Saturday Market in Centennial Square, and Artcraft at the historic Mahon Hall. The new theatre, Artspring, will be the location for many fine drama, music and variety entertainments. There are superb restaurants, and several live music venues.
